Aperture Plug-In will be removed from sale soon

I will stop selling the TiltShift Aperture Edit Plug-In on December 31, 2011 due to several reasons.

The plug-in API from Aperture has not been updated since version 2.1. Aperture 3 got a completely new redesign and since then there have been a lot of problems reported with TiltShift crashing. The crashes were usually happing due to some computational race conditions between Aperture and TiltShift. The desktop version of TiltShift has been available now since almost a year and even though the code is almost identical, there have hardly been any complains from customers.

Therefore I decided to stop selling the Aperture at the end of the year a while ago.

The plug-in will still be available for download for existing customers. If you consider buying TiltShift now, please choose the desktop version available on the Mac App Store.

Aperture TiltShift Plug-In version 1.2 Beta 1

I today released version 1.2 beta 1 of my Aperture TiltShift plug-in.

The new plug-in version has controls for saturation, contrast and vignette and comes with a new focus control user interface. The tilt shift rendering algorithm has been refined and the new preview rendering engine increases your workflow speed even more. For better review you can zoom and scroll into the image and temporarily show the master image like in Aperture.

The beta version is fully functional and if you have already purchased a license key you can use the new version without any limitations. Bug reports and further feedback are highly appreciated.

Aperture TiltShift Plug-In

I created an Aperture Edit Plug-In for computer generated tilt-shift photography. The software allows you to create fake miniature versions of regular photos, simulating the effect of expensive tilt-shift lenses.

Since I hardly made any money so far with Sofortbild I want to sell this plug-in. But I didn’t yet came up with a price. So please let me know what you would be willing to pay (I was thinking about something like ten bucks).
